Car Training
We use brand new cars for our training, for both manual and automatic lessons. We aim to give as much tuition in each lesson in order to provide value for money for each student. Every student is different and we aim to pass each student first time so hours of training may vary, however, we generally say 25 hours is sufficient with additional private practice at home.
Car & Trailer Training
All drivers who passed their car licence before 1 January 1997 retain their existing entitlement to tow trailers until their licence expires. Individuals who passed after this date are required to pass an additional driving test in order to gain entitlement to category B+E which allows them to tow caravans and trailers.
Driver CPC Training
The Driving Standards Agency is taking the lead in implementing EU Directive 2003/59 which requires all professional bus, coach and lorry drivers to hold a CPC in addition to their vocational driving licence. It came into force across all European Union member states on 10 September 2008 for bus and coach drivers and will be mandatory for lorry drivers from 10 September 2009.
Instructor Training
If you passed your car driving test before 1 February 2001 you don’t need to take CBT to ride a moped.
Mopeds have a maximum engine size of 50cc and a maximum speed of approximately 31mph.
